What hypnosis is:

Hypnosis is a natural yet altered state of mind, where in the conscious mind’s “gatekeeper” or (filter) is bypassed, enabling acceptance of beneficial programming in the subconscious mind. A remarkable level of relaxation is experienced, which restores balance to all the systems in your body, as well as, promotes a strong desire to do more of what you need to do to achieve your goals.

What hypnosis is not:

Hypnosis is not mind control or brain washing. The person being hypnotized is always in control. The client is not unconscious nor does she or he lose their mental faculties. A person will not do anything outside of their moral code while in hypnosis; including divulging secrets. You cannot get “stuck “in hypnosis as the individual determines the depth of their trance.

Why it works:

Because you are implementing change at a subconscious level, in the part of your mind that drives your habits and behaviors. Then reinforcement on a daily basis is necessary until the changes become well entrenched. We always do what our subconscious mind believes.

Who can be hypnotized?

Anyone who is willing to let go of their expectations surrounding, “what it means to be in hypnosis”. Anyone who “allows” themselves to have the experience. Hypnosis is a skill. The effects are accumulative and progressive, and so it does take practice.
